The Candy Man
I think I am a day late. Shiiiiiit. But here is a post, because I don't want to miss it out. I think we are running quite a few short. We can rectify this though!! I will make sure of this!
This outfit is unfortunately being brought to you in fragments as Dan is revising for and taking his finals at the moment and doesn't have time to take the photographs. I tried to take photos of my whole body but with my big ass mofo camera this can be pretty hard. So here goes.
My jacket is from H&M, and was a christmas present. The top underneath is a mighty boosh t-shirt, but you can't really see that in the picture...Woah, these photos nearly join up!! Weird. Anyway, my skirt... I think I have worn this on here before. How repetitive. I do apologise. But I think it goes quite well with my jacket. In the background you can see my ukulele, my mandolin, and my melodica. Yay!Woah, everything is brown! These are my brogues! Spiggy, this picture is for you!!! Look how brown my world is. I also noticed that in this outfit, I am wearing blue and green (which apparently must never be seen), and purple and blue, (another taboo colour combo). I may as well have committed fashion suicide, but I don't think anything I wear ever really matches so never mind. Back to writing songs about the internet. :)
Stripes that will make you siiiiiiing! [30/4/2010]
It's my day again and I apologise for the crap quality of the pics, my camera refused to cooperate. Anyway, today hasn't been too eventful for me, I woke up, went to the supermarket to get some nomnomz, then I played the piano, recorded a rather crappy song for Mooks called She's A Mook, and now I'm doing nothing. Yay for holidays!
On the pics I'm wearing a Siouxsie t-shirt I bought in Camden millions of years ago, black/red stripeys, can't remember where I got those, my favourite black skirt and my black blazer with lots of pins. The big black one with rainbow writing on it is from Sweden and it says something along the lines of "Control the environment, not individuals." Pretty cool, huh? And I'm posing with a guitar because I'm so hardcore. Yeahhhh.
Today's song is Comme Elle Vient by Noir Désir, a rather nifty French rock band. I'm off to sing the Mooky song.
My legs look huge on this last pic, I promise you I'm not a giant! Far from it!
Pip pip!

Bleh!
I can't find my camera today, and after searching for so long it's getting late and I should really start studying. So I decided to scour my computer for and recent pictures of me anddddd.....
A horrible picture of me looking large in an outfit I wore last Tuesday for my boyfriend's band's show. I'm wearing:
*A dress from H&M
*A cardigan from H&M
*A belt from H%M
I had just had a shopping spree. =]For the actual show I also wore black leggings.
While searching I also found this picture of me in my boyfriends awesome shirt. ;)
<3
And in the Spring, I shed my skin, and it blows away with the changing wind...
Here's me today, trying to look all cool by the door of my porch. I'm posting today (26th) because tomorrow is my little brother's third birthday and I might not have time. And I'm procrastinating finishing my "Catcher In The Rye" worksheet for English!
Today I am wearing a dress from Forever 21. I wore it in my first post actually, it has a stripey bit at the top and then it is sort of tulle coming down. For the chair photo, I had to run upstairs and get another petticoat because the dress is way too short to sit down like that in and was showing my bum! Although I am wearing tights. Then I have my new shoes from the Garment District. They're lace up and I thought they were quite Victoriany. Foot Fetishists, knock yourself out with this one :P
My top is a hoody from Hot Topic (I know, I know.) And it's by Tripp, and it's quite cool 'cause it's got suspendery things that you can detatch. And the little snapper things have skulls on them!
Under that hoody, I have a skull top by Sweet and Toxic that I got in Urban Outfitters about four years ago. Tegan Quin has it, too! Which is win! So does my friend, but she found hers at the Salvation Army for about two dollars! Not fair!
Anyway, that is all for today! Until next time, Mooks! xx
Here I am posing with my favourite jewelry and my piercings. The Day of the Dead necklace and Bettie Page necklace are both off my boyfriend. They are extra special to me. Also you can see my ouchies. I am so chuffed with my scaffold and vertical labret. After getting them done I'm finally starting to get where I want to with my look. :)
I'm wearing my mum's purple cardigan which was £40 - :O - from Fat Face which is a really nice outdoorsy brand but as you can see - stupidly expensive sometimes. The pockets are quite large which is handy if I need to carry lots of munch upstairs. I can put crisps and chocolate in the pockets and still have my hands free for a cup of tea and crumpets! BOO-YAH!
I also have on an old t-shirt which my Godmother brought back from Transylvania. It has creepy faces on it which I'm guessing are supposed to be Vlad the Impaler or Dracula. For a woman who's job is to teach me the ways of the Lord, she doesnt half love The Occult and creepy legends. I was quite jealous she went to see Dracula's castle. Anyway, I loved the design on the front but it was too baggy on me so I customised it:
^ It's all torn up and shit! YAAAAAY!
(My back gets lots of stares when I wear this out in public minus a cardigan)

April 24th
My clothes today are simple, but I wasn't planning on doing much anyway so it fit perfectly. I have a plain black long sleeved top from H&M, which I'm sure I wear too much. I'm also wearing my bloomers! Yay! I made them last summer, I was so determind to get them done before I went on holiday to France. Then I wore them practically every day. My favourite item of clothing I've made myself, by far.

White flowers 'n' Purple Feathers
I wouldn't wear the headband out of the house- I reckon it's a little to in-your-face - but inside I think it looks just okay. You may notice my floaty black skirt. I can't remember wear I got it, but it is nice and light with a very stretchy waist. I love it!
Anyway, I shall wish you all a happy Thursday. Ciao!

Fill in for Kirsty
Hello mooks! I'm here to occupy a spot for Capulet - get well soon :(
Anyway, here's my outfit [not from today, I'm going to work to stocktake soon, and I'm in old jeans and stuff] from Friday, when I was out on a shoot in Glasgow.
I'm wearing the boots and leggings you've seen before in my previous alternachick posts, both from my work [Internacionale] The boots are seriously getting a bit worn out now, I think the toe is coming away from the sole. Shame really, I only really own three pairs of sensible shoes that don't have ridiculous heels on them.
My jacket is from Next, from when I used to work there [managed about a year before I cracked up] and I bought it in the sale for lower than half price. I had had my eye on it for the full season, but I wasn't going to pay £130 for it. Luckily there was a size 10 stored away and I managed to nab it when we were doing sale prep and got it for £60, yay Christmas money!
My jewellery is from Claires [earrings and fake rosary] and my other cross you've seen before. My bangles are a mix from River Island [£12...for costume jewellery!] and I only bought them because I had a voucher for in there, I never usually like much stuff they have.
My belt was from Internacionale years and years ago, before I worked there, but I still like it.
Cya later mooks, I'm off to count things!

How many days exactly have we done this for?
Haven't been up to crazy loads this easter a few picnics and seeing friends but I did go to the Skins auditions. Although none of me and the friends who went got a call back, it was a fun day. We did queue in a sport court of some random school in Kentish town for two hours but it was all made worth it by the amazingly dressed people who were auditioning. I'm serious, EVERYONE (maybe with the exclusion of Ke$ha lookalike and serial killer girl) was dressed AMAZINGLY and I've never seen so many people with cute dresses and docs in one place before. We then had to do an improv about us seeing a friends dad in a dress pahaha. We actually left the auditions like at 1pm which was fairly early, mind you we'd woken up at like 5:30 am so we could be there fairly early. We then got a tube to Camden and hung out there for the rest of the afternoon and had fun. I managed to get the dress I'm wearing on the photo for a fiver.
Anyhows, the oufit :
- kinderwhorish dress - some shop in Camden
- beads - some market stall in Venice
- white tights - Dorothy Perkins
- Shoes - Clarks (lol)
Love you all, Sophie aka MissWorld.
Rise, rebel, resist
Sorry I look miserable and all that. I've had a shit day, but I won't go into it now. I still remembered my alternachick post, yay :)
Anyway, today I'm wearing leopard skinnies, an alice cooper top which I've slashed up at the back, but I was too cold to take a picture, so I threw a black shirt over it. I've also got a black studded belt, and a tartan one.
Today I went and visited my next door neighbour who I grew up with, in hospital. She rides horses and the horse she was on bolted over a ditch, where she fell off the horse, and also fell in the ditch whilst still attached to the stirrup. He dragged her back out the ditch, into some barbed wire and a concrete pillar, she's broken 3 to 4 bones in her back and thanfully isn't paralysed. I saw her today, she's in a back brace for 3 months :( It was horrible and emotional and I just wanted to hug her! So I'm not in the happiest of moods. Sorry about the short post but I have to go to my aerobics class, baiiii, Frankie x

Wedding Fun!
Today it was my cousin, Ceri's wedding so I'm wearing a dress, stole, fascinator from Debenhams and shoes from Next Directory. Gavin is wearing a suit from M&S and a tie from Next. It was a beautiful day and we drove from Wales to Sussex on Friday night and stayed in my uncles big posh house. The ceremony was beautiful despite the lack of guests; my cousin and now husband have family and friends who live abroad and the volcano stopped them from arriving.

I'm late, I'm late, I'm late!
when the sun rose again
Today the sun has been shining but it's very clear and cold where I am, so I've been a bit indecisive about clothing. I've actually spent most of the day in a cardigan, but this is the basis of my outfit.
*I'm wearing a lovely white t-shirt from Cambridge market that has owls on it. I saw it and kind of fell in love. It helps that the brand inside the neck is 'Melon Vodka'. That made me even happier, although I'm sure that particular cocktail would be disgusting.
* The skirt was one I found in a sale from New Look, and I'm pretty sure Frank has a matching top. It's patterned with roses in grey and black, and I like it a lot.
* The leggings are basic black ones, but through various accidents they became ridiculously holey, thus I added a few more with nail scissors and now pretend they were always like this.
* The boots aren't very visible in the picture, but I bought them in Camden during the Mooky meetup. The dress Candy's wearing in her post is from the same stall that I bought these boots from, and I'm very grateful for everyone for putting up with me being indecisive for a while about them. They're lovely and comfy and adorable, but I remember conveniently 'losing' the shoebox in a Camden pub whilst we were playing Scrabble to avoid having to lug it back to Cambridge. Oops...
I apologise for the crap quality of photo, but both my camera and phone are a bit shit at taking photos when the flash is off, and if it's on all you'll see of me is blinding white light that looks like a small nuclear explosion. And I wouldn't want you all to think I'm made of uranium, because that would just be silly, and I don't want to be carcinogenic, thank you.
I've had time to do this because I've got another week before I go back to uni, but I have about 250 more lines of Greek to translate and another 2,000 words of essay to write before then. Antigone is a great play, and I love it, but it's doing my head in. I'm therefore listening to a lot of Mark Lanegan and Alice in Chains to get me through it all, but I've discovered that different work has different music to go with it. Incubus and Brand New works for Latin, especially Seneca, but Odyssey IX and other my other Greek work requires AiC and other lovely grungey goodness. For my Greek Tragedy essay I need Mark Lanegan and Placebo, for some reason. You can tell by my scientific analysis that I'm desperate to procrastinate...or as we have termed it at uni 'OMNOMNOMturbation'. Basically, it's eating/cooking to avoid working. I'm sure all students succomb to this at some point or another... ^_^

Mahhhh
- Grey Jumper/Dress -£10 from Select. This is 3 sizes too big, and is supposed to be worn as a jumper, but I prefer to wear it with tights as a dress. Underneath it I'm wearing some random black and white striped vest top of unknown origin, thieved from my sister's bedroom.
- Generic black tights -These are the most opaque tights I own. I love them.
- White and grey w/silver sequin Ed Hardy High Tops -I'm not usually a fan of Ed Hardy stuff. I think a lot of it looks pretty tacky to be honest, but these shoes were so deliciously tacky that I had to have them. I spent too much on them really, but it's not the most I've ever spent on a pair of shoes so... Since I got a job I've developed a crippling shoe-buying habit. Since December I have spent nearly £300 on shoes. That figure makes me die a little bit inside, but fuck me do I love my shoes!
Thriller Filler
So anyway, I'm wearing a flowery black camisole from New Look, blue shorts which are a mile too big and stripy black and red stockings. They are rather flash. I love them because they look like those worn by the Wicked Witch of the East :)
The top is brand new. I haven't had the chance to wear it before thanks to the atrotiously cold English weather. Seriously, dressing in summery clothes when there is a bitter wind is like taking a rubber dingy down the Niagra Falls ie. rather risky. Not only do you get funny looks but also you freeze your arse off.
But I digress. This camisole is rather too big, but I am determined to wear it outside sometime this year. If it falls down, I shall bravely cling to it and hope that it looked like I was just flashing people. As you do.
So, I hope I haven't bored you too much!
Love,
Rachel x

April showers bring May flowers
I will confess that this is an outfit from a couple of days ago, because I was wearing nice clothes and today's are not so nice. I have, however, redyed my hair since these photos, so it's now super-bright and not such a Fruit Salad-y colour with massive roots. About time!
So, that day I was wearing:
* A shiny shiny skirt I bought in Camden at the Mooky meet. It clashes delightfully with my hair and looks like it is made of curtains. I approve.
* An Alice in Wonderland t-shirt from Urban Outfitters. I love the book's original illustrations [I have a poster on my door from the British Library of Lewis Carroll's original manuscript, with his own illustrations in, and it's rather lovely] and in general I thought it was a rather fit t-shirt.
* Black leggings from H&M, as ever.
* My gorgeous new boots, also from Urban Outfitters [I went a little bit too wild on their website]. I am super happy with these, because they should have been £150, but they were in the sale for £60, and amazingly they had them in my size [which NEVER happens]. They are super comfy and I've worn them every day since I got them.
I was also wearing a black cardi that day, and the same necklace as usual. How predictable.
Whilst I was at home I also got to try on the dress I'll be wearing in July when I'll be a bridesmaid at my brother's wedding. I've never been to a wedding before, and I'm quite happy that his will be the first one. I was a little bit worried about the dresses, because my future sister-in-law and I have very different tastes in things, and she did say that she might want me to dye my hair depending on the dresses she found, but luckily they are GORGEOUS and she said my hair would be fine :) Here's the top of the dress; I'm not sure I've ever owned anything so glam. However, the shoes she's picked out are terrifying: they have heels, and they are HIGH. And there's a spiral staircase to walk down. Now is the time to start practising!
Over and out :)

Purple Rain
I have a confession. Once again, I've come home from uni without my camera cable. And so, I have this poor offering. It's fuzzy, but it is a full-length outfit picture. Sorry lovelies!! Next time, I promise a proper fit outfit to make up for it. I should have my cheerleading kit by then, so perhaps even that. Am I forgiven? Anyway, yes, here I am. I am wearing purple jeans from H&M (possibly), a white t-shirt of some sort, a black waistcoat from New Look and a long grey cardigan which I adore, which is also New Look. The long necklace is of mysterious origin, but has hearts and beads and things on it, and is rather fab.
Uuups!
I'm late! Sorry mooks, the man distracted me last night, and I was working all day, so couldn't post this morning. Better late than never eh? :(
I still haven't mastered taking pictures of myself with my SLR [I'd rather shoot other people!] so it's still crappy quality with the iPhone. Still, you can see the lovely sunlight coming in my window - Scotland has sun, it's AMAZING.
Anyway, this is my work outfit - I started work at 10 on Saturday, so this was nice and early. Everything's from Internacionale, of course [it is my uniform]
My jeans are very basic dark blue things that I bought primarily because they had a little old school swallow keyring attached to them. My top is a cream vest top with "Americana" on it, I think I got the last one as well; we put it on a mannequin and it sold out it seems.
My scarf is love. I do love it indeed. It's cozy enough to wear it when it's cold, but light enough not to be suffocating when it's warm like it is now. It's the slightest bit warm, and you'd think we were in the tropics. We have no air con in work :(
I'd been hoping to put up a photo from one of my photoshoots this week, but I've not seen any examples yet, maybe next time :)

Wild Tangela Appeared!
Wild Tangela, Level 14, nicknamed Glitter Eyes has appeared! Wild Tangela used photoshoot!
Yes, dress up time is fun
You can't see much of the outfit here, but I love the picture anyways. I think it is just lovely.
Also, although there isn't much make-up, you can see it in this pic and the little black roses in my wig.
Other than that it's just cool. Ignore the horrible placement, it is in my NEW studio style thing. It's good except I can only use one side of the room since my mum wants to park her car in there. I just hope he doesn't run over anything of mine.
Now for the proper picture. I'm wearing....
- A Black and Blue hoodie from Next
- Black Linen trousers from Tesco I think
- Two blue scarf, shawl things from random places.
- American Flag style Flipflops
and my wonderful wig.
Hope you Mooks lovely. Wild Tangela feld!
xx Glitter Eyes
