Apologies for it being 20 minutes into the next day...

Hello, apologies for being ever so slightly into the next person's day! At least I'm posting and I guess that's what counts right?

Unfortunately, my camera has finally decided to die on my completely. Luckily for me, this quite old picture of me here is actually exactly what I wore today! And, you get pretty Aberystwyth South Beach in the background :)

What I'm Wearing:
  • Black Leather Jacket from Zara
  • Purple/Black/Grey/Silver Check Shirt Dress from Dorothy Perkins
  • Black Wet Look Leggings from Matalan (sorry, you can't see them)
  • Black Doc Martens, also not pictured

Today has been productive, but highly boring. I cleaned my kitchen, I did some emergency food shopping, and I went to work. Delightful! The boy was supposed to visit me tonight, but, alas, he is just as skint as I am. His boss still hasn't paid him and he was supposed to be paid at the beginning of February. As a result, I'm ever so sulky tonight. Hope you Mooks (and any other readers?) have had a good weeked.

Love from Emily Jane/loserbuttercup xx

27 Fevrier

Bon soir!

Once again the post from me is coming REALLY late in the day, I apologise profusely for that. I'm so tired from last night (partying til 4am, go me) and work today that my brain is just fried today. There are only 3 minutes left of today so I'm gonna make this quick! The outfit is actually what I wore last night, as today I was wearing my work uniform. I am wearing:
  • Skull + Roses vest from New Look
  • Black tights from God knows where
  • Black boots from same
  • The usual bracelets and ring.
I got a lot of makeup for my birthday, and although you can't see it in the picture I am wearing Urban Decay eyeshadow in Honey and Zero, and Urban Decay eyeliner in El Dorado and Zero (all of which I got for my birthday) as well as my usual Revlon Colorstay Mineral powder and generic pink lipgloss.

Stay gorgeous! x

Friday Night, Last Orders at the Pub.. [26th February]

Hello team :)

I'm not actually going out on the lash this particular Friday night, even though I got my exam results back today and did rather well *in all but one cough cough* I went to a Drum and Bass night on Monday, a Reggae night on Wednesday and a Dubstep night last night, so I'm chilling out for once. Also, my family are coming to stay for the weekend (not in my flat of course!) so I'm dressing like someone who is partially respectable. I'm channeling Joan Holloway of Mad Men today. Major girl crush on Christina Hendricks, the actress who plays her. Oh my God perfection.
ANYHOO. Ignore my stupid face, I hate pictures.
I'm wearing a black pencil skirt from New Look, my vintage waist belt again, and this top is I thinkkk from M&S..
In a completely non Joan Holloway twist I also decided I'd go with a bow from Dorothy Perkins. I'm so sweet.
I've just had atext from my mother saying they'll be in town at half 7 and I get to choose where we eat. Hmmm. So much power.
Have a lovely weekend Mooky darlings.
Whoa my boobs look HUGE.

Donnerstag, den 25. Februar

Hello beauties! I hope everyone's well and happy. I've just finished uni for the week [I love the fact that I finish at 2pm on Thursdays...three-day weekend ftw!]: spent the night at the boy's and somehow dragged myself away for a Phonetics lecture where I understood nothing, but then made up for it by acing a Lexicology test :) I'm back at home now, rewarding myself with a cup of tea and a crumpet [with butter and Marmite, of course] before I have to make a start on the 65 lines of Old English translation due in for Tuesday...I do often get the sense that it takes over my life. In the meantime, though, I have a mix CD from the lovely Aenigma to keep me company...she put some wondrous things on it, and has reminded me exactly how much I like Idlewild and Massive Attack, plus giving me some massive nostalgia hits as well. Nom nom nom :)

It's absolutely freezing here today, so toasty clothes are most definitely the order of the day. Today's outfit consists of:

* a massively oversized blue knitted sweater from H&M. I think it's meant to be big anyway, but I bought a size large and it hangs off my shoulders. It's lovely and toast and I can wear [and am wearing] it as a dress.
* grey leggings, also from H&M [anyone sense a theme with my clothing purchases?]. Last week I had to bite the bullet and make a trip to Meadowhall [always unpleasant] to get clothes, because I managed to irrevocably rip two pairs of jeans in the bum [:(] and needed replacements. Ended up with a few too many things, including the sweater and these leggings. I was determined not to give into the leggings trend, but they're so bloody useful. And at least they're not jeggings...
* underneath the sweater is a purple [though it looks black] top my mother gave me for Christmas, which I think comes from Uniqlo and advertises itself as having 'Japanese heat technology' which will keep me warm or cool appropriately. I've noticed no difference whatsoever, but it's a very nice colour.
* thick woolly toasty socks, from Sockdreams.com [investigate if you haven't already, this is a wonderful website I tell you!].
* Long necklace, which my housemate gave me for my 19th birthday.

Plus I have silly plaits and a flower in my hair, as usual. I'm so bored of my hair and it's absolutely desperate for a cut, and I'm getting increasingly tempted to go for a massive chop. Maybe when I'm brave enough.

And now to take a deep breath and get on with translation. Love you all xxx

24th February - A week after the best night of my life.

So todays outfit was actually one from the weekend. I bought them on the Monday of the half term when I went shopping in Camden. I'd never actually been down to Camden before but I loved it especially the market - I am a master haggler tbh :) Got lots of lacey stuff. The highlight of my half-term / life was going to the Hole concert last Wednesday. Not only was Courtney Love absolutely fucking brilliant but I met her before the show which I really hadn't considered happening at all. I hugged her and she kissed my cheek and I was like omg. But yeah now I'm back at school and stressed GAH. I would have been in uniform today hence why I chose to put up an outfit I wore to a party at the weekend.

So in the picture I'm wearing -

  • A cream lace dress from Camden Market

  • Floral tights from a little shop in Camden

  • Lace-up boots from New Look

  • A red with black lace flower that my best friend gave me.

  • A roseary from a small shop in Hastings.

      There's a starman waiting

I know it's not been my day for even a whole hour yet, but I'm so excited about these jeans I have to share them NOW, plus with all the excitement, I'm not sure I'll remember in the morning.

I'm cheating a bit and not sharing todays outfit. Instead, here is my look for the NME Awards. That's right Mooks, on Wednesday, myself and the best friend will be at the NME Awards. I'm crazed with excitement.

I needed an outfit that felt suitably glam and rock-chickish, whilst being comfortable enough to queue for hours and then leap around at the front. We take gigging seriously.

So I bought these babies. Gold jeans. I don't know where I'll wear them after this, but I don't care. I bought them from Ebay, but they're originally Miss Selfridge I think. With them, I'll be wearing a black lace top from Blue Banana, a black H&M vest top and my lovely leather jacket, also H&M. I wear a lot of H&M. I'm also thinking I need to up the sparkle factor and rock the silver converse from my last post too.

Sadly, the forecast for Wednesday is pretty crap, so for the queuing part, I'll look like this. Slightly less glamourous, but warm and dry.

      Air kisses!
      George (AcidKitty)

GAGA OH LALA. WANT YOUR ALTERNACHICK!

So, this is my Gaga concert outfit.

The shirt is a plain shirt from Next which I added sequins, stats and mirrors to with some lovely glue.

I also wore jeans, but I was in a rush and couldn't get a pic of them.
      ans for shoes.

My hair was my boring blah blah hair, but I did have some lovely Gaga had lovelies. Sorry about the fail placement of the images, but I dunno how to fix them so it's all pretty and to be honest I don't have time either.

Hope you like Mooks! Bye Bye dears!

      Glitter Eyes :)

      Pew pew!

Oh noes! It's me again! Lady C dropping in for the next style update. This is my "Going-Ingredients-Shopping" outfit - I'm off to Asda to buy things to make myself a lovely curry for dinner tomorrow.

My t-shirt was from HMV; the ones you get in the packets, and can't take out to see the size because you can never make them fit again. I got fed up with massive mens size band shirts, so I lopped the shoulders off it. The back is all slashed too, but I'm not very good at taking pictures of myself I'm afraid.
I do loves me some GNR. Slash <3

My leggings are wet look ones, though you can't really see. I got them from work for about £7, and they're sort of done now. They're awesome, but too cold to wear much at the moment.

My combat boots are also from my work, I got them for £15 [yay 50% staff uniform discount]
They're not the comfiest for wearing when you're standing all day - the sole isn't so good akshully. They do look awesome though, and they're good for the perpetually mucky streets.

Close up of my boots to the left! Really, they're cheap rip offs of the ones sold in All Saints for over £100, but frankly, I've got better things to spend money on that that! Of course.

No shots of my jewellery this time around, but you've seen one of my crosses before in my first post. The other one is a fake rosary that I bought in Clare's Accessories last year. I'd been looking for one for ages, really for my photo shoot prop box, but I liked it so much I nabbed it.

Not much else to say about my outfit. My Bag was one I nabbed from my mum [who's room the picture was taken in] and it's plain to see my hair is reaaaaally needing dyed again. Shame I'm so skint I can't afford it!

Also, apologies for the slightly lacking picture quality, I thought I'd try out my new iphone [yes, I bought into the consumerist machine, *shame*] and I think I'll give it a miss next time around.

Enjoy your day mooks, I'm off to buy curry ingredients!

      19th Feb, butterflies...

Hello, it's DirtyMagic standing in for Spiggy today! I have butterflies in my tummy and I'm wearing an appropriate dress...

I like sunshine and brighter evenings and springtime, it makes me all happy and hopeful. It's still freezing cold though, so I'm wearing a big cardi, tights and Docs with this outfit now....

I was playing a gig last night with The Valentinos, it was fun. My arms are so sore from carrying all my drum gear around though, and I'm all sleepy, so I've been hibernating in my room watching a Lost box set and drinking coffee all day. :)

      Loooove! xxx

      Feb 18th - A Strange Day...

HELLO children of the earth, and my sun babies and moon urchins... 'Tis Candiclaus here, although I like to hope you knew that anyway!

Today has been an essay day. I am wearing a giant jumper and a kilt. I would post a picture of today's outfit but my camera charger is elsewhere. For this reason, I am posting a picture of lastnight's outfit, which is way more glamorous!

My friend James took this photo and this is why I am posing like a motherbitch, and the photo isn't as beautifully crafted as they usually are. I am feeling fairly self conscious about this photo, what with the gown and stuff. Basically, lastnight was a huge, posh dinner to 'celebrate' our having completed half of our dregree courses. I sat opposite my director of studies who is also the college's senior tutor, which was fairly daunting. Anyway, for these events, gowns are compulsory. There were no gownless photos of me unfortunately, and I look like a bit of a prat. Ah well. My dress is from MookVintage in Cambridge. I am not even joking! There is a vintage shop in Cambridge called Mook Vintage!!! My shoes are also vintage, from Brighton. I am wearing a necklace with beautiful glass beads on it,which is technically my mum's, but I borrowed it once, and sort of adopted it. I had just had a haircut that day too, although it doesn't look that different in that picture. It is slightly shorter and much prettier, in my opinion. I am generally channelling a 1940s starlet look here. Did it work?
Another joyous thing to show you is my engagement ring! I got it the other day. Dan and I designed it ourselves and a jeweller made it for us. The picture doesn't really do it justice, but it is difficult to make the camera focus on the shiny ring, and not on my freaky hand!! Anyway here is a pictureeeeeeeeeeeeee:
This makes me happy! I can't stop looking at it, and polishing it with the little cloth they gave me. Sorry, I am probably being all drippy and silly about it, but it is so sparkly and I am so in love. Urgh! (Just to clarify, I mean in love with Dan, although the ring IS lovely!)
I was meant to be having dinner with some friends tonight, but I had had a stressful and tiring day so Dan and I decided to have a quiet night in instead. We are about to watch something trashy like The Mentalist (if you haven't seen it, imagine if Derren Brown solved CRIME!) 'tis more than epic.
Well, I shall bid you farewell, and hand over to whoever is replacing Spiggy's day. I love you all, and I love this blog. Thankyou all so much for brightening up my days with your amazing fashion and wonderful words. Night night. x

And on the 17th day of February...

Vic forgot to post because she was sitting in her bed all mucussy and disgusting. But today, after being forcefed some lemsip by the boy, she is feeling slightly better. I've actually worn this outfit before on alternachick (oops), but it's DAMN comfortable and deserves it's glory. Apologies also, for the crappy photo quality: my dad snuck his smartarse camera back so I had to resort to using my webcam.
Since I missed it in my last couple of posts, I thought I'd highlight my awesome socks this week: CUPCAKE SOCKS.

And finally, I'll share with thee my two favourite necklaces in the whole wide world. There's my eagle bollo tie, which was actually my mum's in the eighties (cue Mean Girls quotes), and my more recent flamingo necklace from a website Spiggy mentioned a little while ago on the forum (thank you!)

And for now, mooks, I bid you adieu.

Valentines Day Plus Two (16th Feb)

Sorry the title's a bit strange, was trying to come up with a creative way of saying "16th of February!" Anyway, here I be. Although you can't see it, I am wearing a dark red long sleeved top underneath everything, then a kind of black zip up vest thingie over that. It has lace trim and red stitching, and little broken hearts on the inside which is cute in an emo way. Also I just realized the irony of it being two days after Valentines Day. I am also wearing my black skirt that I got in New Look in Perth (Scotland) about two years ago. it's black and quite frilly and lacy and I seriously wear it all the time.

And over the top of all that is my long black cardi from American Eagle. It's very cosy. I have two of them, but the other is a little worn out, and has glitter glue on the sleeve for some reason.

My tights are the infamous skull tights I bought at Spencers Gifts around Halloween time. I realize that this is the second post in which I am wearing Halloweeny tights, but bear with me :) They look like they should glow in the dark, but they don't, which I was really disappointed about. Whenever I wear them to school my history teacher always comments on my "happy stockings."

And then, because I needed more red to match the top and stitching on my vest I wore my red DMs from Schuh that I got about this time last year. They were sixty pounds, and my stepmum had to help me out with them 'cause I only had fifty. When my dad saw them he flipped out and we had to lie and say they were thirty pounds, which we still joke about. Last summer if I ever wore them, he would be like "wearing the thirty pound Docs, are we?"

I like little family stories like that ^_^

Not really much else to say, except that I have done absoloutely nada today apart from going to paint pottery with my younger brother, while my youngest brother was at gym class. I painted a big tea mug, so here's a pic of it. It's not glazed yet and the picture was just taken on my mobile, so it's not great looking, but here ya go! I'm sure I'll put photos of it finished up in the Creativity thread or something :)

Hope you all have a lovely Pancake Day!

      Family day madness

      Hellooo Lalala here! =]

Today I had to work since morning, so I'm sorry for the late post. Today is family day.. Most likely the lamest holiday ever, and I didn't even get it off work! How dissapointing. Tonight my mom, me, my boyfriend, my sister, her boyfriend, and the two students that are living with me are going to be having dinner and "spending time together". My outfit is rather boring as I just got home from work and just want to be comfortable. I'm wearing a black t-shirt from Gap. I got it second hand a couple weeks ago and I love the fit. A white cardigan from Garage, it's boring but it's too cold to hear just a t-shirt. A little vest thing from Winners that is pointless but I love it just for the way it looks. =]

Excuse my messy room in the next picture.. I just wanted to get a side picture to show off the grey vest. I'm also wearing a grey jean skirt that I like wearing in the summer but it's rather short.. I'm begining to grow out of that stage.

I realized after taking these pictures that I had no colour in my outfit and I couldnt stand it so I had to put on my lovely purple tights. I can't remember where they are from.. somewhere at my local mall. The grey socks are knee highs but I rolled them down so they would look kinda slouchy. I can't remeber where those are from either.. I have had them for years and years. Finally I'm wearing some cheap ruffley boots from Claires accessories I got for a night out and have only worn a couple times since.

Sorry again for the short post and lackluster outfit. I hope everyone has a good night and family day, if there is even anyone but us who celebrates it. =\

      <3 Lalala (Laura)

      14th February. V-day.

      Hello! :D

So. Clothes.OMG. I AM WEARING BEIGE!
I'm pretty sure I recently said "I fucking hate beige". But I think I'll be okay as long as it's only in small controlled bursts. Or am I making the change into a normal person? D:

My cardi is from New Look. Necklace is my Ma's. The T-Shirt, I found in a shop of charidee. It says "Taking Care of Business" on the back. And look who's on the inside!

Hehe. Okay, now for the lower half.

My green corduroy skirt is from the vintage shop in Cardiff called Hobo's. The best thing about it is the Noel Fielding Doppelganger who works there. He is too funky for this earth. I want to jump over the counter and force my presence on him whenever I go in. *Ahem.* Black stockings and grey socks from Peacocks, nice n cheap. And once again with the Silver DMs.

I went and got me new piercing yesterday. My ear feels really...reinforced? It hurt like a bastard but then it was only a bit sore for a few hours and now it's fine as long as I don't bash it. The Lad also came and got his lip done. He is very happy but his lip is big on one side now and he has a lithp.

I hope you had a nice V-day having your way with your sex slaves/sniping annoyingly smitten couples from a high vantage point/cuddling on the sofa/interrupting PDA's with water balloons/doing whatever it is you get off on.

      Peace,
      Electro.

Making up for some of the lost days...

So this was my outfit the other day. My shirt is new, my mum ordered it for me online from American Eagle of all places, and I think it's really pretty. Even if one girl did tell me it looked like I was wearing a bra over my top. It was a strap top, so it's layered over a long sleeved black one. And my skirt is by Tripp, and I got it on sale at Hot Topic for $15 I think? I had had my eye on it for a while, but it was between this and new DM's. Thanks to winter sales, I got both! Yay winter sales!

My tights are from Target, where I practically live. Anyone who doesn't know what Target is really should. It's a big shop that sells everything (well, most things...), and it has a fantastic Halloween department. So yep, you caught me, I get my tights at Halloween because that's when you get stripey ones on the cheap.

My boots are my beloved Docs, my first pair (unless you count the pair I had as a child, when I was a baby bat in the literal sense.) They're 18 hole, and patent black leather with a panther on the side. I've had them just over a year now, and they're ridiculously cracked but I lurve them! My favorite pair out of my four. My babies...okay this is starting to get weird. I haven't got a shoe fetish, I promise.

Now this is what I wore face/hair wise...

Sorry I couldn't rotate the picture. I tried, maybe there's a secret way I'm not clever enough to figure out? Anyway, makeup wise it's just the usual black eyeliner, no lipstick because recently my lips have been super chapped (therefore I've just been using this rose-scented lip balm.) As you can see the old acne is in it's full glory thanks to my hormones. Thankyou, Mother Nature! As for hair, it's just a sideways ponytail, with a bit hanging down at the side and a white rose clip that's all lacey. My friend (called A on the boards) got it for me for Christmas and I love it!

Before I go and have a cuppa, I just wanted to say taking these pictures was slightly awkward as I took them in school during photo class. It could have potentially been embarrassing had a teacher caught me snapping away myspacey shots!

      Anyway, off now. Night mooks!

      Immy x

Whichever post number... January er- FEBRUARY 13th... yessah.

I know this is a bit of  a mess, but I'm one of the most haphazardous people around. The picture of me in the hat to the left and the picture directly above are what I wore for the better part of the day. The plaid jeans are from Target. The satin blouse with the floral/paint design is from Sears two years ago. This is my first time wearing it because they left the security tag on and I just recently had the brilliant idea of smashing the tag into oblivion with my dad's vice grip. The blouse was unharmed. The purple tee shirt underneath and the vintage black and yellow plumed hat are both from Goodwill. My scarf and fake DM's are from Wal-Mart. How classy of me... The pictures at the top were because I just felt like dressing up and experimenting. I have been playing guitar and songwriting a lot today, so I wanted to channel that, I suppose. I've been very influenced by Ani DiFranco lately... The nude/tulle negligee-looking dress is Rodarte for Target (I love that line and own almost all of it) I wore a red flamenco-esque dress tied as a skirt underneath and topped it off with a scarf that came from a little town called "Florala" (right on the border and seriously small-town) that I drove through once upon a moon to get to an orchestra concert down in Florida. My dorm was a mess when I took the hat picture. I cleaned a little and took a few more. Yesterday we had a huge snow day (very rare here... only snows about once every ten years), so I was tearing through all of my clothes and pulling on layer after layer. I spent the better half of yesterday tearing down a steep snowy/muddy incline on a plastic box lid. I've got news for you- it's intense stuff.
Tomorrow is that inescapable holiday (whatever that means) known as "Valentine's Day". I've never had a boyfriend or date or first kiss or any of that crap, so I'm always bitter and cynical enough... I'm half-hoping that maybe I'll be surprised by a certain sweet and creative Thai, but I'm not holding my breath. What happened to the good old days of my asexuality? That sure would be convenient right about now. Sorry to dump all this into the blog, but sometimes it just doesn't all fit into the "song lyrics" box. We've all got problems, yessah? Well, as of yesterday, I finally know what it's like to have a man wrap his arms around you from behind. Indescribable. Especially while standing at the edge of a roughly 200' almost vertical drop in the freezing cold while he threatens to jump and take you with him. Until next time, all the good numbers and truck 'em up easy! - Calliope

      Let There Be Levi's!

      And there were :D

This is what I wore to go and get my student ID the other day.
Comfy Chucks, as I had a lot of walking to do. They're my favourite shoes, grey pinstripe.
      My favourite Distillers shirt <3
My Jack Skellington necklace, which is a-freakin-dorable

Aaaaaaand my miracle jeans! These jeans make me want to shout from rooftops. With a... *ahem*... "build" like mine, jeans are hard to come by, let alone black ones. And for less than $100!

I had planned to put on makeup to go for my ID photo, but I really couldn't be bothered. I am, after all, a comfort kinda girl. Turns out it doesn't matter, because the ID photo is horrendous anyway - poorly exposed and shrouded in weird tones!

Also featured in this photo is one of two Tank Girl block mounts, which take pride of place in my house. It says "Who says girls don't like big guns?"

And with that, I make my apology for the somewhat bland outfit and head off on my Mooky way :)

09/02/2010 - Its cold out, wrap up warm!

It's Sapphire here, filling in for someone else, not sure who though! Today it was sunny out, but very chilly at the same time so I decided it would be a good idea to wrap up warm. Unfortunately, I'm nowhere near as stylish as some of you lot, so I was wearing something particularly boring. My top is a lovely cashmere thing from new look. I bought this last year in the sale and I have had so much wear out of it! the scarf is from peaCOCKS (teehee) and I bought that a couple of years back. The jeans and shoes are from primark, which is kind of boring too. The jeans are also a size too big and the shoes are a size 4 because I have diddy little feet. The last item on the list is my coat which was bought from SAINSBURYS about three years ago now. My lovely mother bought it for me before I came to uni, and once again I've had a lot of wear out of it.

I looked in my wardrobe today and realised that I don't actually own any colourful clothes, all my tops seem to be black or grey, along with all my hoodys and all my jeans are dark jeans. The only colourful items in my wardrobe seem to be my t-shirts (which are usually hidden by a hoody) and my pyjamas (I have a pair of glittery, starry blue coloured oned from primark which I love).

Anyway I think thats enough from me, ta ta for now!

      saffykins
      xx

p.s. I was wearing a pair of earrings which I forgot to take a picture of, but I bought them whilst on holiday in zambia. They're a pair of black dangly things, the lady said they were made from buffalo horn which isn't particularly nice, but I think she was lying just to make a sale.

p.p.s. I'd just like to apologise for keeping my hood up, I had greasy hair and no make up on!

      Roses

Today is Monday, and it is snowing. I wish it would snow like it did before, I want to forget about college and bomb around on a sledge for hours on end. Hopefully I'm closer to booking my tattoo now I know what I want, which I'm really looking forward to. I also get my bottom braces on next week, my surgeon appointment too, and going to Cardiff on the 17th, so I am perking up a bit I have things to look forward to (minus the horrendous braces), which is nice. I don't have much else to say right now, so I might come back later and update, but for now... outfit!

      Rose cardigan from New Look
Wet look leggings also from New Look
      Belt from H&M
and I wore this with black cowboy boots which have chains and studs on :D

      Tata for now sexies :)

      7th Febuary, Christian Feast Day

      07/02/10 and Darahgna (Angharad) here!
Today I was working so I took my photos in the staff room. I am a Lushette in the Bath store and I absolutely love it! My photo is take in the staff room hence the posters saying lovely :D One of the girls was sick so I had to stay on an extra half hour but I got a lunch break so I got to chill out for five. I don't think people realize how hard it is to work in Lush. You have to learn lots of ingredients and what certain products do and who their right for. Nonetheless you get to play with bubbles and bath bombs and work with kick ass people.
Our dress code is black and white so I had a nice polka dot skirt and a plain white t-shirt with a cardie. The skirt is from H&M about a year back and the top and cardie are cheap things from Tesco.
My boots are just kick ass, their doc martens and I got them for christmas from my mammy. Their limited edition ones so I was so excited when I got them.
My day have been really good overall, work was quiet so we mainly cleaned and danced to pass the time and when I got home we decided to watch some movies. We watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which I thought would be a crappy romcom, but I really really enjoyed it. It's one of those films you can switch off too.
I also finished my book, Grave Surprise by Charlene Harris. It's a really epic and awesome book by the same author who writes True Blood (the Sookie Stackhouse series) and it's about a girl named Harper who was struck by lightening and now has the ability to discover how a person died if she's near their body or bones. The book is a thriller and she goes off with her brother to try and solve the murder of a little girl. Very Gripping, I'd advice you all to read it!
I'm now going to go off and chill out before doing some Philosophy work.
Anyway, love and cwtches to you all!!

      Snapshot of Laziness.

So today I was entirely lazy but also incredibly busy so I only have a snap shot of the detail on a top I was wearing today with jeans.
I had a horribly long and busy day at work being scolded by customers for things far out of my control and it wasn't fun. However it has been raining, which I adore and i went for a drive in my newly bought car! it's a cute little Peugeot and I'm so happy with it!
But about the outfit, my mum bought me the top yesterday after she decided she loved it and needed to see it even if they didn't have her size :P I think the detailing is really sweet, hopefully it's good enough to post, it's the only photo I got today :(
Sorry guys, better post next time.

Post Number 38 for you, Number Two for me!

Hello, loserbutter/Emily reporting for duty! Today, I am wearing one of my favourite outfits. I like it for two reasons:
      1) I like it!
      2) Other people actually compliment it too!

      What exactly am I wearing?

      1) A Bikini Kill top which I believe you can get on the Kill Rock Stars website but I got mine from eBay.
      2) A Black high waisted skirt with attached braces from Urban Outfitters (bought when I had a much better budget than I do now!!)
      3) Grey leopard print leggings from the oh so classy George @ Asda

You can't see the leggings very well in the picture to the left but if you look to the right, there's a better picture of them.

My day so far has been pretty interesting. I'm studying English Literature with American Studies at uni but it worked out so that last semester, I only did English and this semester I'm doing the American Studies. I find American history and how their political system was developed really fascinating if I'm honest. My last seminar finished at 1 and I've got another lecture at 4 so I came back to my flat just so I could post this blog :) Even though I've got a part time job now, by some miracle I'm not working tomorrow which means I am going out tonight and getting absolutely wasted, hooray! Have a good day everyone!

And a second update today because I am a goon

Sorry, my beloved Mookies! I had somehow got it into my head that my day was the 5th of Feb, not the 2nd, as a result of exam stresses and forbidding myself from foruming for a couple of days so I could get the fuck on. Exams are over as of yesterday and a message from Candy prompted me to check the date and...*facepalm*. But now I can return to the real world, here's the entry you should have had on February 2nd.

It's 3.15pm and I've only just got out of my jimjams, in my determination to allow myself maximum dossing time. It feels really weird not having exams. Should I not be doing some work of some kind? Oh wait, no. Well, what do I do with my day then? God knows. But yes, It's mid-afternoon and I've only just got dressed and it's rather nice being able to do so.

      Today's clotheses consist of:

      * A rather nice pale green top I bought from New Look the other day. I love green clothes because of the nice clash they provide with my hair.
      * Underneath it is a plain black vest top from H&M which has a black lace trim and straps. Most of my clothes seem to come from H&M - their basic line is pretty ace because it's really cheap and has lots of useful things, like plain long-sleeved tops and t-shirts and suchlike.
      * Thick woolly grey tights which, despite me buying size M/L, are too short, so the crotch keeps falling around my knees and I keep having to pull them up in a really unladylike way. Having long legs is ridiculous because I can never get jeans to fit and I have to buy tights in huge sizes so they'll even cover me. Grr.
      * A rather nice high-waisted black circle skirt, also from H&M, with a clippy belt. I really like this skirt but I can't for the life of me decide whether or not it suits me because it sits so high up, and because of my long legs and a short waist I wonder whether it makes my upper body look tiny and weird. Perhaps I read into these things a little too much.
      * And footwear-wise - stripy socks from Tesco [I am a classy bird, I'll have you know] and my beloved flowery DMs again. I don't think I could ever get sick of wearing these.

Once again, apologies for being a noob and getting my dates wrong. On that note, I'm going to go and spend the afternoon doing bugger-all. Bimble around the internet, write a couple of letters, do the washing up; all the fun things in life. Not to mention continue ripping all my CDs into Windows Media Player after last week's computer disaster! I'm not even halfway through yet, and it's taking years. Currently listening to Suzanne Vega, who made beautiful acoustic singer-songwriterish music in the 70s and 80s and is still doing so. If you can get hold of the song 'Small Blue Thing' then you really really should.

Much love to you all :) xxx
