RAWR I is a leopard!!!

Today is dress up day in work and I am a leopard!!! My outfit is actually lingerie from ebay with a black top and leggings underneath. I'm a leopard because we had a limited edition 'Jungle Jelly' out in our Lush store and we get to dress up as Jungle Animals :D.
I done my eye makeup with Urban Decay, Deluxe Shadow box, colours Honey and Zero. I totally adore this set and I would definately recommend it to everyone! I used Lush Utrabalm on my eye lids and then applied the Honey all over my eye before using a smaller brush to do the spots. I then used the same bush just to deepen the colour of my Brow and join it up to the eye.
My hair was a right mission, I backcombed and then rounded the front sections of my hair before spraying with alot of hairspray to give myself ears.
Overall, I'd say my outfit was a definite hit!! (esp. with the boys ;) )

Wedding Fun!

Today it was my cousin, Ceri's wedding so I'm wearing a dress, stole, fascinator from Debenhams and shoes from Next Directory. Gavin is wearing a suit from M&S and a tie from Next. It was a beautiful day and we drove from Wales to Sussex on Friday night and stayed in my uncles big posh house. The ceremony was beautiful despite the lack of guests; my cousin and now husband have family and friends who live abroad and the volcano stopped them from arriving.
It was a civil ceremony and I had to do a reading by W.H. Auden called 'O Tell me the truth about love' which is really long and I managed to cock it up a few times (I don't think anyone noticed). After the ceremony we had Buzz Fizz and photos outside the venue (a beautiful manor house) and the chance to mingle with everyone. We got spoken to loads as our side of the family is very small and everyone commented on how pretty I looked :D.
The food was amazing, pea soup to start, cheese tart for main and chocolate torte for desert. Gavin is really fussy so it was good of him to try the soup and he even had an espresso! (He hates coffee...) The speeches were said and I gave a blessing in Welsh for the couple followed by my Uncle giving an hour long speech about Ceri's journey through life. It was very touching but after 45 minutes, we were all getting restless.
The happy couple cut the cake and we all went dancing and took full advantage of the free bar. It was a wonderful night and at the end, I caught the bouquet! I was so happy!

Feb 18th - A Strange Day...

HELLO children of the earth, and my sun babies and moon urchins... 'Tis Candiclaus here, although I like to hope you knew that anyway!

Today has been an essay day. I am wearing a giant jumper and a kilt. I would post a picture of today's outfit but my camera charger is elsewhere. For this reason, I am posting a picture of lastnight's outfit, which is way more glamorous!

My friend James took this photo and this is why I am posing like a motherbitch, and the photo isn't as beautifully crafted as they usually are. I am feeling fairly self conscious about this photo, what with the gown and stuff. Basically, lastnight was a huge, posh dinner to 'celebrate' our having completed half of our dregree courses. I sat opposite my director of studies who is also the college's senior tutor, which was fairly daunting. Anyway, for these events, gowns are compulsory. There were no gownless photos of me unfortunately, and I look like a bit of a prat. Ah well. My dress is from MookVintage in Cambridge. I am not even joking! There is a vintage shop in Cambridge called Mook Vintage!!! My shoes are also vintage, from Brighton. I am wearing a necklace with beautiful glass beads on it,which is technically my mum's, but I borrowed it once, and sort of adopted it. I had just had a haircut that day too, although it doesn't look that different in that picture. It is slightly shorter and much prettier, in my opinion. I am generally channelling a 1940s starlet look here. Did it work?
Another joyous thing to show you is my engagement ring! I got it the other day. Dan and I designed it ourselves and a jeweller made it for us. The picture doesn't really do it justice, but it is difficult to make the camera focus on the shiny ring, and not on my freaky hand!! Anyway here is a pictureeeeeeeeeeeeee:
This makes me happy! I can't stop looking at it, and polishing it with the little cloth they gave me. Sorry, I am probably being all drippy and silly about it, but it is so sparkly and I am so in love. Urgh! (Just to clarify, I mean in love with Dan, although the ring IS lovely!)
I was meant to be having dinner with some friends tonight, but I had had a stressful and tiring day so Dan and I decided to have a quiet night in instead. We are about to watch something trashy like The Mentalist (if you haven't seen it, imagine if Derren Brown solved CRIME!) 'tis more than epic.
Well, I shall bid you farewell, and hand over to whoever is replacing Spiggy's day. I love you all, and I love this blog. Thankyou all so much for brightening up my days with your amazing fashion and wonderful words. Night night. x

7th Febuary, Christian Feast Day

07/02/10 and Darahgna (Angharad) here!
Today I was working so I took my photos in the staff room. I am a Lushette in the Bath store and I absolutely love it! My photo is take in the staff room hence the posters saying lovely :D One of the girls was sick so I had to stay on an extra half hour but I got a lunch break so I got to chill out for five. I don't think people realize how hard it is to work in Lush. You have to learn lots of ingredients and what certain products do and who their right for. Nonetheless you get to play with bubbles and bath bombs and work with kick ass people.
Our dress code is black and white so I had a nice polka dot skirt and a plain white t-shirt with a cardie. The skirt is from H&M about a year back and the top and cardie are cheap things from Tesco.
My boots are just kick ass, their doc martens and I got them for christmas from my mammy. Their limited edition ones so I was so excited when I got them.
My day have been really good overall, work was quiet so we mainly cleaned and danced to pass the time and when I got home we decided to watch some movies. We watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which I thought would be a crappy romcom, but I really really enjoyed it. It's one of those films you can switch off too.
I also finished my book, Grave Surprise by Charlene Harris. It's a really epic and awesome book by the same author who writes True Blood (the Sookie Stackhouse series) and it's about a girl named Harper who was struck by lightening and now has the ability to discover how a person died if she's near their body or bones. The book is a thriller and she goes off with her brother to try and solve the murder of a little girl. Very Gripping, I'd advice you all to read it!
I'm now going to go off and chill out before doing some Philosophy work.
Anyway, love and cwtches to you all!!

15 is the smallest natural number with seven letters in its spelled name.

Heya, Darahgna (Angharad) from the forum here. So I had to plan my outfit really carefully today because I had to go and view a house. I feel so grown up, going out into the real world, trying to find somewhere to live for my fiancee and I. I wore a nice patterned top that I got for christmas. I think it's from New Look in the Punkyfish area. I wore it with my luis vuitton bag, blue new look skinny flare jeans and my Ugg boots (I'm a conformist :P). I love this dress top thing as it it just really cute and comfy, plus it has a hood that makes me look gangsta yo.. I set off to look at the house with my two housemates, we were late cause two buses went past us. We arrived and met the estate agent and he showed me round two really nice houes. It's up to my parents however on whether they want to buy us a house.
Up onto the other bus back home where I had a quick bite to eat and grab my bag to set into town. I walked with my mate and we seperated as I had to go to the Drs :(. I'm really glad that I wore my awesome girl boxers with the union jack on as I had to have a contraceptive injection in my bum!!! It still aches but it's finnnee (stupid fiancee.. the things I do for him..).
Off to the cookie shop I then did go cause I felt sorry for myself. I got a triple chocolate chip cookie, it's epic! I met up with my friend and we went around some of the shops and into the Disney store (because I was moaning about my bum). We went to a new cafe place and got 2 burgers for £7! it was amazing and soo filling.
Giving up on town we went to go walk home until a bus stopped right besides us and it seemed silly not to get on it (we do have student bus passes).

I'm at home now just chilling out watching the Simpsons and talking to my lovely fiancee, here's a picture of us at our engagement do:

Anyway, love and cwtches to you all!!

On the eighth day of fashion...

I'll start off with an apology. Sorry guys. I left my camera cable at university and my webcam is refusing to co-operate today, so instead of sharing today's outfit, I'm sharing an outfit from a few weeks ago. It's surprisingly difficult to find full length pictures of yourself! As it is, I had to crop my two housemates out of this shot. However, here I am, in an outfit I liked.

I am wearing grey skinny jeans from New Look, a green vest top from H&M, a black New Look blazer that I live in, a black studded Lowlife belt, a pearl necklace from Accesorize and a set of black beads that may or may not be from Claire's Accesories.

I spend most of my time in skinny jeans, but I'm still searching for the perfect pair that don't get that horrible knee-sagging effect after a few wears. That makes me sad.

Next time, I will over a genuine 'today' outfit and hopefully wear something more exiting than jeans and a vest-top. I've got all this lovely new LLROK jewellery to play with yet!

Day 3 - 3/1/2010

Hi, Everyone!

So, 'tis the third day of the year, and to celebrate this momentous occasion, I have been attempting to do some work. The question I have been attempting to tackle is about the metrical devices used in a poem called "Never Again Would Birds' Song Be The Same" by Robert Frost, and another called "Waking with Russell" by a poet called Don Paterson. They are both fiercely beautiful poems, but nothing is really inspiring me about the poets' metrical choices, and so I have been getting more and more frustrated as the day has gone on.
My New Year's Resolutions are mainly to do with work, and healthy eating. Very standard. Today, I ate pasta for breakfast, because there was nothing else in the house. But I suppose, at least it was vaguely healthy.
Having been inside for the whole day, the boy and I decided to go for a play in the frozen puddles. We took my camera with us and he took some arty farty shots of me looking into the distance and pushing my fringe back and so on. You know, the usual stuff.
Anyway, here is one of the ensuing photographic mementos. I am wearing a dress from Cult that was reduced from £65 to £10, a pair of biker boots which after having looked at these photos, I may wear less often..., a green neckerchief from a vintage shop in brighton, and a plain black long sleeved thermal top. Oh and black tights. Price of entire outfit is probably in the £20 region, not including the boots which I am now taking a rapid dislike to!
Today hasn't been a very happy day, but the walk cheered me up muchos! Fresh air is key, methinks. I will leave you with another cheeky photo, of the sunset through a shard of puddle-ice.
Love, Candy. x
