Autumnal Fun Times
Hello my lovelies. It's Autumn already! And we need to catch up our blog. So here is my outfit today.
My navy tea-dress with a swallow print, new purple cardigan from New Look and tights also from New Look. And a grey hat to cover my shitty hair cut. :/Um, I don't really have anything else to say so here's a cute picture of me and my brother and a picture of my boyfriend's new puppy - Mitsy.
Long time no speak
No real excuse for letting this slide, I'm going to blame a busy summer and Freshers/first week.

Rat Days
I jest, I jest. No, here I am today. You can't see too well, but I am actually wearing two tops. A t-shirt underneath (story about that later) and a tank top over that. But they are both black. I was looking for a different colored top to put under it, then I realized I didn't really have any...you see, I did a massive wardrobe clearout and this was the result.
I literally have no color left, which just kind of happened as I was just putting all the stuff I never wear into a pile, and most of it had paint on it or was really bright from years ago. You can see my Birthday Massacre tee on the far right. Hurr hurr. I met them :D Okay, we're not going here again because it has literally been all I've talked about since. But it was an amazing night. And their new album is amazing too :D
Anyway, my shirt(s). The shirt underneath isn't even mine really. It's Moon's, and not even from when we were together. The week after I got back from England this summer I went over to hers (so awkward as well, but she wants to be friends still) and it was soooo hot out. I was wearing the playsuit I had on for the Mookmeet and as I was getting out the car my mum flipped out that you could see my bra in the back. Then later on, me and Moon were going to go out and meet some people, and I thought I couldn't have my Primark bra on display so I asked her for a top. And then I just never gave it back.
The tank top over that was bought this summer with my friend Lace. We were about to spontaneously go to a bar, and (this involves the infamous playsuit as well!) I was wearing the playsuit with a gray blouse under it, which looked cute, but not over eighteen. I had my birthday money, so we went to River Island and got the top, my studded waist belt, and my black/dark blue bubble skirt thingemy which I will probably post about in the future :)
My skirt is from Abercrombie (dun, dun, dun.) I think it's really sweet, so the fact it's from a (I feel a My Immortal quote coming on) "ugly preppy store" doesn't really matter. And then I put my studded belt from Claires Accessories on over it to keep it up and to make it look a bit cooler.
My tights are my favorite thing at the minute. Spiderwebs! From the halloween aisle at Target :D My mum got me them! Win!

Eurotrip.
I don't even know when my days are anymore, but I shall endeavour to be less shite now that I am back at university. Below is an outfit from the road trip I went on. This photo was taken in Luxembourg, but I wore this outfit three times, because I liked it so much. I love layers, mixed prints, and the boots/dress combo. Oh yes.My checked lumberjack shirt is from TopShop about two years ago, but they sell them everywhere. My dress is from a shop in Brighton called Jezebel. I also have it in black, I love it that much. My satchel is from a market in Australia, and my tights are from H and M. My shoes are Docs, and I have had those for absolute years. I am also wearing a black thermal vest, because I am cool.

Here is another catch up!
The Photoautomat booth was amazing. I felt so ridiculously INDIE! :)

Candooooo and chums.
I am, as you know, the one on the left. Next to me are Rowan, Annis, and Kaliane. I am wearing a vintage tweed skirt, and a really old top, which prior to this day, I have not worn for years. It is from Warehouse. My jacket is from H and M. It was a christmas present from my friend, Eleanor. I am also wearing black stockings with a seam, but you can't see them in this picture!

Dia De Los... Tahlia?
Hello my lovelies. I think I was supposed to post on Monday but I've been getting up at 8.30 am and chucking on any old thing to go baby sitting so I thought I'd wait until I'm wearing something nice. I'm feeling very Mexican in this outfit for some reason. It must be the Frida Kahlo inspired flowers. I need more I tell you! I might go on a flower hair clip shopping spree to get more colours and sizes.
Or it's this necklace which makes me feel Mexican. My mum got for her birthday and I kindly "look after". Aren't the Pinata/donky thingies cute! :)
This vest is one I've had since my childhood and never really worn since it's cropped and I think the trend of showing off your tummy died in the ninties. However it can be worn under my purple leopard print pencil skirt! Yay! (Also, the cartoon lady has boobies but my belt censors this.)
These are my footless tights from Blue Banana which I adore and have worn so much there is no crotch left. (I haven't been getting frisky in them, they're just a bit to small so a ladder formed in the crotch area and eventually grew)
Well that's all folks. :) xxx
(Oh yes and I'm not fluent at all in my Mexican so I may have made myself masculine using "Los" in the title?!)

Anyway, love always, Capulet. x

Leopard Print Lateness.
Alrighty then. This sugar skull top I got from ebay and cut the sleeves into tassels and then cut the shoulders and tied them to make a vest top thingy.
The belt was free in a magazine ^_^ I'm such a little scab.
The leopard print skirt was a charity shop find. I was a bit unsure of it at first but I think it looks okay on me. I tried so hard to deny the leopard print trend when it first emerged but now look at me going all out on it. I blame my love of rockabilly.
And these shoes are second hand off my mum. They are cute and vintage-y, go with most things and have a low heel I can actually walk in.
Bandanna/headscarf thing is from ebay, fake gauged earrings are from a piercing shop in Cardiff. You can't really see them in this pic though and swallow necklace if from Claire's probably.
A little update on me if you want it:
Tonight I am going to see Eclipse in the cinema :/ Not looking forward to it but I'm looking forward to spending time with my girls (and two boys - but they're not mine really.) I'm looking forward to making fun of sharkfootface man though. I might even be one of those shits that shouts stuff out if I'm feeling particularly rebellious.
Oh yeah and it's three days until the mooky meet. SQUEEEEEE!!

HEY HEY HEY GAIZZZZZZ
Please note that in the title I mean 'guys', not 'gays', I only just realised how it looks. Or both, you know. Please do not feel excluded if you are a heterosexual female.

Lady lolita
The shoes you see were bought in ASDA (shock horror) for my part as Tallulah in our school's production of Bugsy Malone. I'm wearing skin coloured tights underneath because my legs are currently a mess of insect bites and assorted scratches from God knows where.
The necklace you see is one of my all-time favourites. It is a little egg I got whilst collecting faberge eggs. I LOVED those things.
Anyway, enjoy your wednesday! Love Rachel xx

Horrible humidity
Now chickies, you may or may not have seen a photo of my mad French hair yet, but here it is in all it's (slightly blurry, a thousand apologies for my dreadful camera) glory. When I first had it cut and then dyed it, my dad came home from the pub, glared at me for an inordinate length of time and then remarked "Well, it may be more corporate but I prefer the pink, I don't like this". Bugger off, old man! I think it's brilliantly weird. For my interview I wore it sleek and straightened, but since then I've just been putting a bit of mousse in it and ruffling it up for a 'loveable street urchin' look. You've got to pick a pocket or two, boys... For special occasions I plan on attacking it with hairspray and then backcombing like mad, which will hopefully make me look like a Victorian lady who has fallen on hard times, gone insane and been carted off to an asylum where they have hacked off her lovely long locks to sell to wig makers, and left her with a bizarre bird's nest. Ahem. Anyway... Back to the outfit...
This is one of my favourite dresses, it's from boohoo and surprisingly comfortable in the summer. Even if it wasn't, I'd still wear it all year round, what can I say - I'm a sucker for black lace. The tights are just sheer black ones from Dorothy Perkins (laddered I'm afraid, hosiery despises me), and my shoes (which you probably can't see very well) are Primark's finest turquoise leopard print slip ons. I'm also wearing my silver ankh necklace, and a bit of eyeliner.
Where did you go in this glorious get up, I hear you ask? A Hungry Horse pub, for a cut-price curry and glass or two of cheap white wine. We're classy here in Berkshire. I ate far too much and felt bloated, then decided to record my discomfort. This is my 'if I eat another bite I am going to explode like Mr Creosote' face. Sexy. At least you can see a bit more of my dress here! Mmm, goffiks. Anyway chapettes and chaps, it's past lunch time so I'm going to go and mix myself up a gin and tonic and play with my new phone a little more (it's dreadfully high tech and gorgeous, and it has a Guitar Hero game on it! No lie! Absolutely bizarre, I love it).
In the words of Charlie Brooker, "That's the end of the show, now go away."

I'm actually on time for once!
Yay! So today my mum and step-dad went to cuba for two weeks, which means I get to look after their house, and Molly, our very very old lady dog. My mum treated me to a facial and to have my eyebrows waxed earlier by her beauty therapist, she did a bloody good job on my eyebrows. I leave them to grow wild because I'm scared I'll pull them all out!!! And on Saturday I'm booked in to get my hair cut and dyed at the hairdressers, which my mum paid for too, as 'payment' for minding the house/dog!
School's out! Huzzah!
I thought I could post another entry even though it isn't my day. I hope you don't mind! Today was the last day of school. I'll probably be bored out of my mind by the end of August but right now, I'm enjoying my freedom!
I apologise for the crappy webcam-ness of the pics, my web camera is currently my only camera that actually works so bear with me, s'il vous plaĆ®t. Today I’m a photowhore because I’m bringing you four (!) pics!
Anyway, today's outfit. I'm wearing a pinstripe blazer from Dorothy Perkins, a black skirt (Annis has an identical skirt! We're skirt twins! Skirtmates!) and a frilly white shirt from H&M. The polka dot scarf is from Accessorize and I’m also wearing my pocket watch necklace I made about a year ago. The watch is a 19th century ladies’ pocket watch and I love it even though it doesn’t work anymore.
Here’s another photo of me. This is what happens if one goes to school too often. Madness! (I’ll refrain from screaming “This. Is. Spartaaaa!”)
I hope you’re all having a lovely Thursday (did you know that “Thursday” is actually “Thor’s day”, referring to the Norse god Thor?), my dears!
Pip pip!

So it's awfully late...
Sorry ladies and gents, or gent in the case of Dave! I missed out on my last scheduled post - in fact I might have missed out on two, when my next one is due, I'll post two!
So here's a fill in post to make up for the missed May post.
This is an outfit I threw on to go up to the shops just because it was such a lovely sunny day. The beautiful weather we've been hving is such an oddity in Scotland, but I'm loving it regardless. It's not much fun while I'm work with no AC, but it's nice when I finish my shift for the night and it's still warm outside.
Anyway, my dress is a sundress I bought out of my work for £2.30! It was originally £17.99 when it came in, and gradually dropped down in price till it went into sale for £3. I got it then with my discount and I'm glad I didn't pay full price for it. I've had to repair the design at the bust and both the straps, but it's still rather lovely ^^
My sandals were also bought from Internacionale and I had to buy them because it was getting too hot in the shop to wear my combat boots. These are much cooler, but don't actually have much about them by way of a shoe, so they get uncomfortable after three ten hour shifts in a row.
My bag was a present from my mum for when I was going to a New Year's dinner dance. It's from Topshop and it's one of only two things I actually own from there. I'm not much of a fan - can never find anything I'd actually manage to pull off in there. It's a nice bag, just big enough to fit my phone and purse.
So again, apologies for the lateness!

longest day
Luckily I'm allowed to wear just about whatever I want to work [though boiling as it is I don't think I'll dare wear shortshorts into the office, much as I'd like to!], so today's outfit consists of:
* Polka-dotted skirt/culottes from Ark. I lusted after this for AGES but it was expensive, so in the end I bought it and refused to let myself wear it until I'd done my exams. It was a good incentive! It hangs in lovely folds and looks like a skirt, but...LOOK! IT HAS LEGS! [me AND the skulottes]. Oh myyyy.
* Grey sweater, which came from TK Maxx but which I believe is Tommy Hilfiger [no logos on it or anything though, luckily]. I regretted wearing this today as I was roasting.
*Black footless tights, pretty standard.
* Pink dolly shoes with black lace over the top, from New Look [I don't think these show in the pictures].
* Silver necklace made by some jeweller friends of my mother :)
I had a bad face moment in the first picture...don't you think my new one is quite an improvement? ;)
And now I am off to read my lovely book and listen to Soundgarden, which seems like a perfect way to spend a summer evening.

EYE HEART BALLZ.
This is my first dress. I am not showing you my face because it is gross. The dress is from the interwebs, from a shop called e-dressit, in China. It was so cheap, and is so beautiful. I am wearing a necklace with a little elephant on it, because the theme for the ball was Scheherezade. There were live camels and a snake charmer.
I just realised it looks like I have massive shoulders in this photo. I don't think I do in real life... Also, it was so cold, my posture sucks. Never mind. Anyway, it was a lovely night but not a patch on the second ball. Here is dress number two:
My face looked silly in this one too... But never fear, there will be a shot of my head, because I am very pleased with the way my hair turned out. I used rollers! My dress is from Debenhams, my feathery stole is from Monsoon kids...And the lace gloves are from Accessorize. You can't see my fascinator in that picture. Oh dear, I have to upload another one. What a shame...
I am vain... My bad is from Primark like a thousand years ago or something... I was channeling my mother's wedding outfit with the cleavage rose. Gosh my mother is classy. And so am I...
Aaaaanyway, sorry about the late and confuzzled post. I love you all, and I love looking at your clothes!!

Piano exams and other tales.
Here I am, once again, after a rather turbulent but successful day. As you already know, today was the day of my piano exam. I'm pleased to report that it went very well indeed. Exams are graded here - I got an A and the judges said that I'm a brilliant pianist. Hurrah! (I apologise for the awful webcam-ness of the pics, please forgive me.)
I'm wearing a Dorothy Perkins dress which happens to be one of my favourite dresses. It makes me happy and I was very worried about my exam so I put it on in the morning to cheer up. It worked! I wanted to keep my fingers warm, toasty and protected before the exam, that's why I'm wearing black lace gloves. Jewellery-wise, I'm slightly boring today because I'm not wearing any rings - they get in the way when I play the piano. The beaded necklace was a birthday present from my friends. I love wearing it because it's so versatile and goes with almost every outfit! I'm also wearing two black flowers in my hair, black like my dark beating heart, BWAHAHAHA. Yes.
As for my shoesies, they're lovely and old-fashioned. I've got two pairs because they're so cool and I want to wear them until I die!
Before I go, here's my victorious "I passed grade 7 piano exam!" face:
Toodles!

The day I risked my sanity for this blog (12/6/10)
Today, as you can see, I am wearing some color! (Or colour, depending on where you are from.)
I am wearing my No Doubt t-shirt that I got about this time last year at the concert! They were so brilliant, and I was actually listening to them today, forgetting I had the top on. I always feel like such an obsessed fan when I wear a band t-shirt then listen to them on that day!
Here are my amazing stripey fishnet tights! 2 for $5 at Wet Seal, I believe! I have some purple and black ones, too, but they're not stripey, more just like interwoven. And they ripped a bit. Gahh. I do hate that. I bought some stockings from Victoria's Secret last weekend and they already have those little black lines on them where the thread is bunched together!
Last of all, here is my expression next to a picture of Justin Bieber. This describes the whole picture taking experience, really :P
Ciao,
Immy x
